AlphaFarm Produces Water — Condensate Recovery & Internal Reuse
Vertical farms are often seen as water consumers. AlphaFarm takes a different approach — by combining low-temperature dehumidification, condensate recovery, and drainage reuse, it can produce low-TDS condensate water close to high-purity water and reuse it internally.

AlphaFarm's circular water pathway
AlphaFarm's water flow is simple. Recovered condensate is first prioritized for internal irrigation reuse, cutting external make-up.
- Irrigation water
- → plant transpiration
- → low-temperature dehumidification & condensate recovery
- → filtration, sterilization, water quality adjustment
- → internal reuse
Water balance, by the numbers
The water balance can be reviewed by scale as follows.
- Core-1 — recovery 0.4–0.6 t/day · required supply 0.8–1.1 t/day · external make-up 0.2–0.4 t/day
- Core-20 — recovery 9–13 t/day · required supply 16–22 t/day · external make-up 3–7 t/day
- ~70–85% reduction in external fresh-water make-up (target up to 90% under optimized operation)
Also as utility water for data centers and semiconductor plants
Recovered condensate is first prioritized for internal irrigation reuse. Subject to water-quality verification and simple post-treatment, it may also be considered as non-potable utility water or pretreatment water for adjacent data centers or semiconductor facilities.
This is where AlphaFarm expands beyond premium strawberry production into a resource-circularity platform connecting food production, water recovery, and internal reuse.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Does a strawberry farm really 'produce' water?
It recovers condensate generated during low-temperature dehumidification. At the Core-20 scale, roughly 9–13 tons/day can be recovered — so it recovers and reuses water rather than only consuming it.
Q. Can the recovered water be used by data centers?
Internal irrigation reuse comes first. Subject to water-quality verification and simple post-treatment, it may be considered as non-potable utility or pretreatment water for data centers and semiconductor plants.
Q. How much external water does it save?
About 70–85%, targeting up to 90% under optimized operation. Actual recovery and reduction vary with drainage ratio, operating conditions, water-quality management, and recovery-system configuration.
